SimpleSmart Soft ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Botan mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- User ID — unique identifier for your account
- Email address — for account identification
- Display name — to personalize your experience
- Profile photo URL — to display in the app
Plant Data
- Photos of plants — images you take to identify plants
- Plant collection — plants you add to your garden
- Care schedules — watering, fertilizing, and other care reminders
- Custom notes — any notes you add about your plants
Device Information
- Device type and OS version — for app compatibility
- App version — to provide updates and support
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account information — authentication, personalization, account management
- Plant photos — plant identification using Pl@ntNet API
- Plant collection — storing your garden data, syncing across devices
- Care schedules — sending care reminder notifications
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In — for authentication
- Firebase — for data storage, authentication, and cloud functions
- Pl@ntNet API — for plant identification
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase services:
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Access to your data requires authentication
- Photos are stored in secure cloud storage accessible only by you
5. Permissions
- Camera — to take photos of plants for identification
- Network Access — to sync your data and identify plants
- Notifications — to send plant care reminders
6. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as you have an active account
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings
- Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days
7. Account Deletion and Subscriptions
Deleting an Account
You can delete your account directly in the application through Settings.
When you delete your account:
- All your personal data, content, and settings are permanently removed
- Deleted data cannot be restored
- Your subscription is not canceled automatically, because subscriptions are managed by Google Play or Apple App Store
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play or Apple App Store and are linked to your store account.
If you delete your application account while having an active subscription:
- The subscription remains active in the app store until you cancel it there
- You can restore access to premium features by creating a new account in the app and using the "Restore purchases" option
- Restoring a subscription does not restore previously deleted data
At any time, one subscription can be active for only one application account.
Canceling a Subscription
Subscriptions must be canceled directly in Google Play or Apple App Store. Deleting the application account does not cancel a subscription automatically.
Data Retention After Deletion
After account deletion, we do not keep personal data related to the deleted account, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your plant collection data
- Opt out of notifications
9. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date".
